The student
- recognizes the characteristics of a healthy mouth and knows the naming and numbering of the dentition
- analyzes theoretically and practically the physical, social and symbolic oral health care environment
- guides the patient in oral self-are
- uses preventive methods of oral diseases
- is familiar with the legislation guiding oral health care
- explains the etiology, epidemiology and the origin of caries
- uses instruments, equipments and materials in cariological oral care
- makes observations of patient’s oral health and documents the patient care information

Further information

Compulsory attendance at classes and in Skills lab.
Skills lab-sessions consists of lecture (first) and practical training. Lectures begins at 8.30 or 12.30 when attendance is required. If a student is late 15 minutes or more, he/she may not partisipate the lecture or practical excercises.
If non-attendance, student is obligated to acquire knowledge and skills independently.
As part of orientative project: theory and assingment of self-care in pharmacyproject.
The student confirms his/her participation in the course by being present at the beginning of the first lesson or by agreeing on it with the teacher in other ways.
