Objective

Students will deepen their know-how on health technology, guidance, ethical value base and expertise.

Students can evaluate their development according to evidence-based practices.

Students are future-oriented and ready to develop client-oriented nursing.

Location and time

The lectures will be held remotely and in Myllypyro campus during the 1. rd period.

The course can't be recognized with prior learning, since it is part of the deepening studies of nursing degree.

Student workload

Study module is 5 ECTS
1 ECTS = 27 hours of student's work (total 5 x 27 hrs= 135 hrs)

Further information

Criteria for participating the course are: basic studies (theory and practice) need to be accepted. Minimum 150 ects completed.

Participation in orientation, theory classes and simulation is obligatory. If a student is absent they have to talk about compensation of absence.

Students must confirm their attendance for a course implementation by being present when tuition begins or in another manner agreed with the lecturer; for example, by returning the first course assignment. Students who are unable to attend the first teaching session due to illness may also confirm their attendance by informing the lecturer of this in advance.

Tuition is in Finnish. Simulations held in Finnish.

Assessment methods and criteria

Pass / fail.
Evaluating competences evaluation criteria expert is used.
Medical calculations must be passed.
Self-evaluation and peer assignment.
Active participation during all the lessons and independent stydy is required to pass the course.
