Objective

Students know how to apply treatment techniques diversely to various dysfunctions of the body on an individual basis. They are able to integrate osteopathic principles variedly with their treatment of patients.
Urology:
Students are familiar with the most common urological diseases and their epidemiology, diagnostics, symptoms, findings and treatment principles. They understand the restrictions related to their competence and work and are able to apply this knowledge to their treatment practices.
Otolaryngology:
Students are familiar with the anatomy and physiology of the ear, nose and throat as well as their most common diseases and injuries. Based on their knowledge of these body parts, students are able to identify functional connections and their effects on the body as well as apply this knowledge to their own treatment practices.
Ophthalmology:
Students are familiar with the anatomy and physiology of the eye as well as the main eye diseases and injuries. Based on their knowledge, they are able to identify functional connections and their effects on the body as well as apply this knowledge to their treatment practices.

Content

Osteopathic approach to areas of the ear, nose, throat and eye, osteopathic treatment of the lower respiratory tract, osteopathic treatment of the cardiovascular system, osteopathic treatment of the digestive system, osteopathic treatment of the kidneys and urinary bladder. Applied techniques.
Urology:
Passing urea and function of urinary bladder. Urination, urination reflex and its control. Urinary disorders. Normal structure of prostate and prostatic hypertrophy. Illnesses in different stages of life and/or incidents related to them.
Otolaryngology:
Structure and function of the ear, nose and throat, their functional disorders and effects on the body.
Ophthalmology:
Basics of ophthalmology; the anatomy and physiology of the eye, the eye and its accessory organs, optic tracts and visual area, two eyes and seeing, sharpness of vision and visual fields, refractive errors, glasses and contact lenses. Most common eye diseases; conjunctivitis, keratitis, glaucoma, dry eye syndrome, lachrymal duct obstruction/infection, phoria, grey cataract, refractive surgery. General diseases and the eye, neurological diseases and the eye.
