Objective

Students know how to examine the most common pain conditions and restrictions of movement in the body. They master techniques implemented on the body as well as understand their effect mechanisms. Students are familiar with the contraindications of manual osteopathic techniques and their therapeutic effects. Students can treat acute pain and traumas.

Content

Examination routines. Articulatory techniques, Soft tissue techniques, MET techniques, Triggerpoint techniques. The course includes 4 cr of clinical practice.

Opiskelija erittelee keskeisten ja asianmukaisten ammattikäsitteiden välisiä suhteita sekä perustelee valintojaan oman alan tietoperustaa käyttäen. Opiskelija erittelee oman toimintansa edellytyksiä ja seurauksia.
Opiskelija toimii erilaisissa toimintaympäristössä sääntöjä ja ohjeita noudattaen ja käyttäen työmenetelmiä asianmukaisesti ja turvallisesti.
