Objective

Students
- can explain the theoretical premises and ethical principles of health promotion
- can analyze population-based health behaviour and factors related to it
- can apply nutritional therapy and education to the prevention and care of national diseases
- can plan, implement and evaluate actions to promote health and functional capacity at individual, group and community levels in cooperation with other experts
- know how to use evidence-based and effective methods of health promotion
- understand the relation of social decision-making to national and international recommendations in the promotion of health and functional capacity as well as can name the follow-up methods of health behaviour and health services

Location and time

Orientation time in the schedule: Attendance compulsory. By participation in the orientation you confirm the place in the course. E.g. exam groups will be arranged in the orientation meeting. Otherwise studies will be done independently and partly in small groups.
Vaccination competence studies independently in Moodle according to the timetable instructed by the teacher.

Exam material is the learning material in Moodle.
There is no possibility to mark up the grade of group exam.
Re-exam is always individual exam. No materials with in re-exam.

Assessment methods and criteria

Active participation in Moodle
Group exam (grades 1-5); will be the final grade after everything is completed.
Independent studying, learning assignments.
Student may only return assignments that he /she has done him-/herself.
The copying of practical assignments, theses and other complete course performance or material and presenting it as one's own (i.e. plagiarism) is prohibited. The performance of the course will be failed if a student is found guilty of misconduct in the form of plagiarism.
