Objective

Students in elderly care will evaluate the effects of functional and living environments on the living conditions and daily life of the elderly. They will analyse the individual meanings, multidimensionality and layered effects of different environments from the perspective of the meaningful opportunities for activity of the elderly. Students will identify the influential factors of meaningful and individualized living experiences and analyse the effects of their implementation on the wellbeing of the aged.
Students will analyse ethical and social questions that weaken the status and participation of the elderly. They will identify their own possibilities for promoting the status of the elderly by influencing decision-making processes in society. They will be able to participate in the discussion on values regarding the elderly and use different means of social influence.
