Objective

Students are familiar with development of occupation and participation relating to self-care, home life, running errands, study, work, play and leisure time. Students know how skills and capacities develop. They also recognise how this development interacts with occupation and environments. Students are able to carry out the assessment process with different clients and in different contexts. Students are able to assess factors contributing to each client’s occupational performance and participation. They are able to analyse assessment data and justify human occupation by means of occupational therapy models. Students know how to make use of occupation and occupational analysis in assessment. Students are able to define the factors of a reliable assessment. They are able to seek information in support of an assessment that they have carried out. Students improve their skills in interpreting and reporting assessment results.
