Objective

Students are aware of the arthrokinematics of the limbs and are able to examine the translatory movement of them. They can safely apply an appropriate joint mobilisation to the client. Students can assess the significance of manual therapy as part of client’s physiotherapy. They are familiar with the basics of taping and its use in physiotherapy.
Students know how to describe the significance of person’s background, structure and function, performance and participation as well as environment to the cause of disorders and their prevention in the musculoskeletal system. They combine previously gained competence in the assessment, therapy of variable musculoskeletal problems with existing evidence-based knowledge. Students are able to choose appropriate assessment and therapy methods and use them safely and reliably considering clients’ individual objectives and needs. They provide guidance on clients’ self-care, supporting the objectives and content of the therapy. Students evaluate the effectiveness of their chosen physiotherapy methods. They develop musculoskeletal physiotherapy and are able to act as experts of their field in multiprofessional cooperation
