Objective
Students utilize their knowledge of the limitations on client’s functional capacity and factors affecting the selection of assistive devices for mobility. Students describe the significance of assistive devices for the increased autonomy of client’s managing in diverse operating environments. Students are proficient in the principles of the most common assistive devices for mobility. Students describe the significance of correct seated position to wheelchair users and know how to adjust the position in a wheelchair. Students are familiar with the special needs for physical exercise of special groups. Students apply their acquired professional knowledge foundation to the assessment of assistive devices, instructions on their use and the evaluation of their function as well as their maintenance and modification.
