Objective

The student demonstrates the ability to develop organization culture as a manager and to manage the know-how of human resources; He/she acts responsibly, respecting the existing legislation, and can proactively develop the organization as a manager; The student pays attention to workplace wellbeing; and has good networking and interaction skills; The student connects human resource management to the strategy of the company;
The student can make legitimate decisions in conflict situations in the organization; The student is able to analyze different motives and can manage at a personal level; He/she renews the management and involvement of the employees; The student can interpret the common paradigms of management and apply different kinds of management styles in a changing working environment.

Teaching methods

In this course is about people are work and their engagement. We will explore social identity and motivation theories.

The students evaluate and identify the significance of different human resource policies, processes and practices or the particular contexts in which organizations may operate and analyse the major factors involved in their design.

Practical skills acquired will be designing and tailoring HR policies, practices, and interventions to 'fit' particular organizational contexts

Sufficient performance: has completed basic requirements to pass the course and has made an attempt to apply and articulate concepts and information both verbally and in writing but has not made enough effort overall. The student has demonstrated little effort, interest and motivation for individual or team activities / assignments and the output is rather weak.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Good overall performance: can apply and articulate concepts and information well both verbally and in writing, certain areas of individual or team output require further attention; shows appropriate level of interest and motivation in individual and team activities. Good presentation delivery and analysis.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Excellent performance in all elements of the course: shows interest and motivation in individual and team activities and assignments, fully applies and clearly articulates concepts and information both verbally and in writing. The student is able to support his/her argument with references to the recommended reading and lecture content. Excellent presentation delivery and analysis.
