Objective

The student is able to analyse the different areas of health technology as well as the current and future situation of the field. The student anticipates the development of health technology in his/her field of expertise and is able to apply information to practice. The student plans, executes and evaluates the implementation and development of health technology.

Content

-The premise, current situation and the future
-The scope of health technology (eHealth, mHealth, telemedicine, technical devices, robotics, self care)
-Health technology in the field of health care and social services
-The user's perspective to technology
-Applications of health technology

The student demonstrates competence in the basic content of the course, but there are deficiencies in his/her ability to find and interpret information and to apply the learned content to the context of working life.
