Objective

Upon completion of the course, the student will know how to:
- Assess the strategic management of an organisation
- Analyse strategic measures and indicators
- Apply the key principles of strategic management in their practice
- Draw up an action plan for a workplace based on the organisation’s strategy
- Promote the development of workplace skills in accordance with strategic objectives

The student knows how to:
- Identify and describe the strategic management and activities of an organisation, and its defining values and visions
- Utilise evaluative strategic activity indicators in management
- Describe the premises and criteria in strategic action planning and the development of workplace skills
- Act in accordance to the ethical principles of care of older people and equality in management of care older people

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student knows how to:
- Analyse and explain the strategic management and activities of an organisation, and its defining values and visions
- Analyse and apply different kinds of evaluative strategic activity indicators in management
- Analyse and implement strategic action planning and the development of workplace skills
- Analyse and implement the ethical principles of care of older people and equality in management of care of older people

- Critically and purposefully evaluate the strategic management and activities of an organisation, and its defining values and visions
- Critically evaluate and develop different kinds of evaluative strategic activity indicators in management
