Objective

The student has experience in creating and implementing strategy in a dynamic, competitive business simulation. The student understands the most common challenges in different business functions and is able to analyze significant amounts of data to support decision making. The student understands and can make decisions related to business operations, as well as finance and accounting issues.

Assignment outline: Working in teams, students analyze the competitive environment from a number of angles to create and implement a strategy and then report on their firm's progress in meeting strategic objectives.

Location and time

The classes are scheduled for these dates:
11.9., 9.10., 23.10, 20.11. and 11.12.
Time: 9-12 am.

Online materials will appear in OMA workspace.

Teaching methods

Teaching methods: face-to-face teaching, interactive class discussions, and a Business gale.

Learning outcomes:
The student has experience in creating and implementing strategy in a dynamic, competitive business simulation. The student understands the most common challenges in different business functions and is able to analyze significant amounts of data to support decision making. The student understands and can make decisions related to business operations, as well as finance and accounting issues

Student workload

The student workload is 5 credits including all forms of learning: contact studies in class, self-studies and completing individual assignments (appx.135 hours, calculating 1 credit as appx. 27 hours).

Good presentation delivery and analysis.

Excellent performance in all elements of the course: shows interest and motivation in individual and team activities and assignments, fully applies and clearly articulates concepts and information both verbally and in writing. The student is able to support his/her argument with references to the recommended reading and lecture content. Excellent presentation delivery and analysis.
