Objective

The student has recognized his/her personal strengths and development needs in areas of interaction, team work, and managerial work. The student is committed to long-term personal competence enhancement as stated in EQF level 7. The student has built networks, can direct his/her activities, and follows the principles of shared expertise in adult education. The student has developed practical skills in building resilience, compassion, empathy, emotional intelligence, and is able to intentionally cultivate positive emotions such as gratitude, joy, kindness, compassion, equanimity, and forgiveness. The student can apply practical methods for 1) deepening concentration and 2) responding skillfully to physical pain, stress, and difficult emotions and thought patterns and 3) to diminish reactivity and inspire positive participation. The student can apply methods for deepening and integrating more mindful awareness into ordinary daily activities. The student has developed practical skills of relational mindfulness that enhance effective communication both to deal well with conflict situations and to deepen team working skills.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Sufficient performance: has completed basic requirements to pass the course and has made an attempt to apply and articulate concepts and information both verbally and in writing but has not made enough effort overall. The student has demonstrated little effort, interest and motivation for individual or team activities / assignments and the output is rather weak.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Good overall performance: can apply and articulate concepts and information well both verbally and in writing, certain areas of individual or team output require further attention; shows appropriate level of interest and motivation in individual and team activities. Good presentation delivery and analysis.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Excellent performance in all elements of the course: shows interest and motivation in individual and team activities and assignments, fully applies and clearly articulates concepts and information both verbally and in writing. The student is able to support his/her argument with references to the recommended reading and lecture content. Excellent presentation delivery and analysis.
