Objective

Nordplus Innovation Project project is a project aimed at increasing marketing knowledge of small and medium sized companies in the European Union. The project is run by two universities together with possible partner universities in a number of European countries. A collaborating business is chosen for the project and the partner universities carry out market research in their respective countries. All universities come together for two weeks at the end of March spending a week in the host universities countries to discuss and analyse the research. The collaborating company provides an insight into its operations and company tour and works with the host universities to develop assignments based on possible requirements.

Aims
The main aim of the course is to increase students' theoretical and practical knowledge of marketing, market research and provide an insight into operating an international business.

Content

By the end of the course, the student will be able to:

- develop detailed marketing plans
- understand and carry out marketing research
- create a marketing strategy to enter an international market
- develop strong written and presentation skills
- gain increased knowledge of working in a multi-cultural team

0-5

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Sufficient performance: showing just enough understanding of the subject to merit a pass grade but requiring greater effort to achieve a more satisfactory result

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Good performance: showing strong understanding of basic concepts and good grasp of techniques, but with certain minor problems still requiring further attention

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Qualifications

Students should have strong command of English. Students should be prepared to keep dedicate two weeks of their studies to the project, one week of which will be spent in a European destination.
