Objective

The students will master the basics of building wet areas, fireplaces and saunas and will know the regulations set for these areas. They will understand the functions of different parts of buildings. They will be able to plan and place HVAC and water and electricity equipment in fixtures and will be able to understand the placing possibilities for different frameworks and constructions.The students will be able to design the bathroom, toilet and sauna areas and will be familiar with the requirements set for damp proofing.
The students will be able to compile a floor plan, projection and cross-section of a small building using computer assisted design.

- Water and damp proofing and their construction solutions
- Placing HVAC equipment with consideration to the structures, spaces and positions of openings
- Basics of building fireplaces and saunas
- Fire safety, building codes
