- a student understands what food education in early childhood means and what are the dimensions of food education
- a student understands the principles of recommended food education and its meaning for child’s growth, wellbeing, health and oral health.
- a student understands the principles of nutritionally sufficient and health promoting nutrition
- a student can act according to legislation, regulations and recommendations related to food education in early childhood
- a student can apply the essential content and methods of food education in his own actions

-the significance and background of food education, aims and principles
- the principles of recommended food education and its meaning for child’s growth, well-being, health and oral health
- the impacts and consequences of food education for child’s health and well-being
- multidisciplinary in food education
- the procedures of child’s respectful food education and practical means for implementing of it
- child-friendly, cultural differences, surroundings and supporting in food education
- implementation of food education with multidisciplinary cooperation and families
- evaluating and developing food education

Further information
Kyseessä on Sydänliiton hankkeeseen liittyvä pilottitoteutus. Jotta toteutuksen sisältöä voidaan kehittää eteenpäin, sisältyy siihen opiskelijan itsearviointi omasta oppimisestaan sekä palaute käytetystä materiaalista. Arvosana annetaan palautekyselyyn vastaamisen jälkeen.
Opettajilla on 4 viikkoa aikaa antaa arvosana toteutuksen päättymisen jälkeen.
