Objective
Students know the concepts of graphic design and typography and they are aware of the special requirements of various graphic design products. Students are able to communicate with images, text and their joint effect and they can use tools for professionals. Students can apply their graphic design skills in practice.
Content
- History of graphic design and typography
- Understanding the graphic design industry and the job description of a graphic designer
- Idea generation and problem solving skills
- Use of desktop publishing software and pixel and vector graphics editors
- Publishing service management
- Basic concepts and rules of typography
- Stylistic and technical criteria for selecting a typeface
- Preparing for print
