Objective

After the course, the students can
• recognize different fibers
• choose different fiber materials for different purposes of use
• comprehend the refinement process of the fibers into threads and fabrics
• differentiate different textile structures and comprehend the significance of their properties
• understand how texture affects the qualities and appearances of the fabric
• knows the multitude and significance of accessories in a product

Content

Different groups of fibers and their effect on material properties. Different fiber materials, manufacturing, properties and use. Manufacturing process of threads and fabrics and their effect on the end product. Fabric structures. Fabric analyses and research on textures. Accessories.
