Description

The Master’s Degree Programme in Electrical and Automation Engineering is tailored for professionals at work. The purpose of this programme is to deepen professional capability, leadership and applied expertise in the industry. The goal is to improve the competitiveness of the industry and firms by providing additional knowledge in industrial internet, dynamic systems, smart grids and advanced automation systems.

Upon graduation, the student shows capability in analyzing her/his own field, advanced knowledge of actual subjects in the field and experience of demanding practical change projects.
The education is practical and provides solutions for changing demands in the industry.

The Master’s Degree Programme in Electrical and Automation Engineering consists of:
- Advanced Professional Studies 10 ECTS: incl. Research Methods and Tools and either Strengthening Leadership Competence or Strategic Dialog as Success Factor for Business
-alternative advanced studies in Electrical and Automation Engineering 15 ECTS: incl. Industrial Internet, Smart Grids, Automation Systems in Buildings and Wireless Sensors.
-Elective Studies 5 ECTS
-Master’s Thesis 30 ECTS

This programme is intended for engineers who have a Bachelor’s Degree either in Automation Engineering, in Electric Power Engineering or Electronic Engineering. In the program the student will deepen her/his management and analytical skills. She/he increases her/his knowledge of actual subjects in Electrical and Automation Engineering. The Master's Thesis is a development task, carried out as a project at the student's workplace or other partner organization.
