Description

Business Informatics is a Master’s degree programme for business professionals and practitioners who want to deepen their strategic and managerial expertise through improved information management and better use of business intelligence systems.

In addition to a strong business management and business development core (30 ECTS), this Master’s degree program in Business Informatics offers a deeper insight into business management areas such as management accounting, modern marketing, or logistics, each linked to corresponding ICT systems (20 ECTS). The student will become a competent analyzer and user of business intelligence in decision-making, in business operations, as well as in business development. Electives (10 ECTS) bring an individualized touch to the learning scheme.

The Master’s Degree Programme in Business Informatics consists of
- Advanced Professional Studies, 30 ECTS
- Alternative Advanced Professional Studies, 20 ECTS from a set of choices
- Elective Studies 10 ECTS
- Master’s Thesis 30 ECTS

Each student plans and implements a research & development project in/for real business life, typically for their work organization. In doing so, the student’s research, development, project as well as change management skills will be enhanced. Networking, team skills and negotiation skills also improve in the multi-cultural, tied-to-business setting in which this Master’s DP is carried out. The R&D project will be reported as a Master’s Thesis (30 ECTS).

When studying on a part-time basis, the student can achieve the Master’s degree in two years. Contact sessions take place on Fridays, approximately twice a month. Thursday evenings and occasional Saturday workshops may be needed, especially for the Master’s Thesis process. Various forms of e-learning will also be applied. The language of instruction is English.
