The curriculum has been planned so that the student completes 60 ECTS credits per academic year and 30 ECTS credits per semester

Due to the timing of optional and elective courses, credit accumulation per semester / academic year may vary.


The aim of the programme is to develop a thorough understanding of the factors affecting to the sustainability of buildings and to provide skills to design, build and manage healthy, energy efficient and durable buildings.

After completing the programme, the student
-can design the constructions and HVAC-systems of a single family house;
-can compare different construction and building services (HVAC) designs to find an optimal solution for indoor environment and energy efficiency;
-can assess the environmental effects of the building using environmental assessment tools;
-can act as site manager and/or specialist foreman; and
-can optimise the use of recycled materials, minimize the waste flows and avoid damages to the surrounding nature environment.
