Objective

After passing the course the student is able to understand the structure and the working principles of controlled rectifiers and inverters. Also, the student learns current fields of application of the above.

Content

Controlled rectifiers, DC choppers and inverters and the controlling systems related to them, scalar, vector and direct torque control of frequency converters, cycloconverter drives and servo drives.
