Visualizing the Form and the Volume of the ClothingLaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

The students will learn to depict the form and volume of the garment taking the proportions and the usability of the garment into account. The skills in drawing and painting the garments develop with respect to the needs of fashion design and manufacturing instructions.

Content

The focus is on the following drawing and painting techniques: pencil, lavering, watercolour painting, gouache, pastel and collage. Chromatics is applied when depicting the form, volume and the material of the garment.
