Objective
Student can describe the muscles of the upper limb, their anatomical location and function. He knows the main nerves and vessels. Student can describe nerveimpulse, action of neuromuscular junction and contraction mechanism of striatal muscle. Student can use professional terminology. They understand the meaning of touch in manual work. Student are able to recall different tissue types and palpate them. Student can palpate the pulses of the upper and lower extremities. They act according to professional ethics in their work with patients.
Content
Muscles of the upper limb. Nerves, arteries and veins of the upper limb. Nerve impulse. Contraction of muscles. Professional terminology. Bony landmarks of body. Tissue types. Skin and fascia. Pulses. Course includes 2 cr of practice.
