Objective

On completion of the course the student
- can describe the contents of working plans for an apartment building and the principles of using the plans
- can describe the proceedings in managing a site
- can produce an input based general schedule of an apartment building project
- can produce an input based weekly schedule of an apartment building project
- can produce a finishing schedule of an apartment building project
- can produce a quality plan for a project.
- knows the methods of cost management in the planning phase of a building project
- can make site cost calculations and tenders based on them
- knows the principles of cost control of a building site.

1. Basic concepts in production scheduling and management in construction
2. The principles of quality management and assurance
3. Planning schedules based on quantity surveying
4. Management of the finishing phase

The student is able to create schedules using a place-time chart and a line schedule. The student knows the components of quality and the methods of quality management. The student knows the principles of cost management in different phases of a project and is able to apply them in simple calculations.
