Objective
The student can design 3D-models and assemblies. He/she understands the logic of 3D-modelling and is able to utilise the 3D-design in simulation, in various analyses and in manufacturing technologies. The student can create technical documents and reports.
Content
1. 3D-modelling of components and assemblies
2. Creation of technical drawings, assembly drawings and bill of material according to 3D-designs
3. Correct selection of material for the 3D-components
4. Simulations, simple FEM-analysis and applications in certain industries
5. Product Data Management (PDM)
6. Creation of manufacturing tools in 3D.
Evaluation scale
0-5
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The Student can create simple models in his/her field of study using 3D-tools.
He/she is able to define the mass and the center of gravity after defining the material for the component. The Student can create a bill of material of the assembly and the assembly drawing. He/she knows the principles of CAE-simulation. He/she is able to add data to technical documents.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The Student can create demanding models in his/her field of study using 3D-tools. Parametric modelling is part of his/her work. He/she is able to choose and use various materials in his/her designs. The Student can create an exployded view of the assembly. He/she uses the basic CAE-simulations. He/she is able to create technical documents.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The Student can create challenging and difficult models in his/her field of study using 3D-tools. His/her 3D-designs are based on parametric modelling. Technical drawings are connected 3D-design automatically. He/she can use CAE-simulations and other analyses in order to optimize his/her 3D-designs. He/she is able to create perfect technical documents and create totally new documents.
