Objective
Student
- has central nursing skills that are needed in clinical radiography examinations and interventions
- is able to monitor health status and vital signs of patients with different age and physical conditions
- is able to manage safe fluid treatment and medication therapy according to ones authority
- recognizes risks of medication errors and is able to prevent their occurrence
- is able to act in medication error events
- is familiar with the purpose, risk factors and safe usage of contrast agents used in computer tomography and fluoroscopy examinations

Safeguarding and supporting vital functions
High risk patients in imaging examinations
Planning, realizing and evaluating safe fluid treatment and medication therapy
Contrast agents used in computer tomography and fluoroscopy examinations
Peripheral intravenous canulation
Adverse events and complications of medicines and enchancement agents
Child and family oriented nursing
Internal-surgical nursing

Radiology II and orthopedics
Fluoroscopy examinations
Clinical laboratory examinations
Clinical placement (7 ECTS) including two weeks in working life. A part of the clinical placement will be performed in different special fields of health care (e.g. gastroenterology, hematology, medical ward or surgical ward)

The course consists of 3 credits training in care wards. Training is done mainly in the morning and evening shifts.
Exam schedules
Drug calculation exam during the course.
Final exam will be in the end of the course. Final exam includes farmacology, pharmacotherapy and nursing. CT exam dring the course. Retake timing will be announced.

Further information
Students must confirm their attendance for a course implementation by being present when tuition begins or in another manner agreed with the lecturer; for example, by returning the first course assignment. Students who are unable to attend the first teaching session due to illness may also confirm their attendance by informing the lecturer of this in advance.
Clinical laboratory and simulation are obligatory.
During clinical laboratory lessons the students must work aseptically and actively considenring patient safety.
This course includes seminar, radiology lectures ( 1- 3) and CT- lectures, which are mandatory.
