Objective

Students will know the volunteer and civic activities. Students will plan and implement an internship, taking into consideration their professional intersts. They will strengthen their professional competences. Students will promote justice, human rights, equality and sustainable development through their activities.

Content

Students will comprehend the importance, principles, and practices of volunteer work. Students will present an internship plan and carry it out during their studies. For example, the internship can include civic activities, volunteer and mentor activities.

Location and time

The implementation time and place are agreed with the collaboration partner.

International connections

Internship can be done abroad as a Freemover exchange (student finds the place him/herself). In this case there is a separate Moodle platform for reporting: "Social Services Student Workplacement Abroad/ Sosiaalialan opiskelijoiden harjoittelu ulkomailla".

Opintojakson voi suorittaa KV -vaihdossa itse hankitussa harjoittelupaikassa (ns. Freemover -vaihto). Tässä tapauksessa raportointiin käytetään erillistä Moodle-alustaa nimeltä "Social Services Student Workplacement Abroad/ Sosiaalialan opiskelijoiden harjoittelu ulkomailla".

Opintojakso on avoin kaikille Metropolian muiden tutkintojen opiskelijoille vapaasti valittavana opintojaksona. Ilmoittautuneille opiskelijoille vahvistetaan osallistuminen ennen opintojakson alkua. Opintojakso on mahdollista suorittaa myös englanniksi. Soveltuu myös avoimen amk opiskelijoille ja 3AMK opiskelijoille.
