Objective

Students will know the legislation and basics of medication. They will take part in the administering of medication to old people within the rights granted by their education. Students will familiarize themselves with special issues related to the medical treatment of the elderly.

Content

Basics of medication and legislation related to it. Different modes of administering medicines. Distribution of medicines. Effects of the most common medicines. Jurisdiction in medication. Purchasing and storing medicines. Medical dosage calculations. Laboratory work.
