Objective

Students use appropriate assessment methods for functional ability as a basis for planning and implementing physiotherapy, considering
the rehabilitees’ individual situations and their significant others as well as the phase of rehabilitation and the operational environment. They identify changes in the rehabilitees’ functional ability, especially if it is severely impaired, and are able to adjust their actions to the rehabilitees’ resources. Students develop their competence in instructing rehabilitees and their significant others, considering their resources and individual needs. Students know how to promote and support client’s full participation and exercise behaviour in different environments. Students gain competence in multiprofessional work and utilise research knowledge in the examination of their own competence as well as the development of neurological physiotherapy.
Students know how to combine the perspective of health-related exercise with the planning, instructing and assessing of exercise for special groups. They are able to choose and apply various types of exercise and sports to individuals and various groups.
Students can work in multiprofessional cooperation with organisations as well as professionals providing adapted physical activity.
