Objective

Students identify mental health disorders, their underlying factors and epidemiology as well as are
familiar with the symptomatic examination and treatment of mental health patients.
Students are able to form and develop a therapeutic relationship with clients based on interaction.
They use resource and motivation analyses in assessing their clients’ resources as a foundation for
implementing physiotherapy. Students are able to choose and use appropriate assessment methods
to improve body awareness. They can choose and use diverse methods of physiotherapy to develop
clients’ body awareness and functional ability responding to different life situations.
Students know how to promote and support client’s full participation and exercise behavior in different environments.
Students know how to combine the perspective of health-related exercise with the planning, instructing and assessing of exercise for special groups. They are able to choose and apply various types of exercise and sports to individuals and various groups.

Promotion of mental balance by means of body awareness

Students master professional concepts, and they justify their choices using the comprehensive knowledge base, based on the client’s needs. Students assess systematically the prerequisites and consequences of their own actions.
Students act independently and professionally aiming at goals set to them in their operating environment as well as apply working methods appropriately and safely.
Students work according to professional ethics as well as commit themselves to the group, enhancing its functioning.

Students master professional concepts and make choices together with the client using the comprehensive knowledge base. They also assess and develop their own functioning systematically.
Students act independently and professionally aiming at goals set to them in their operating environment. They also apply working methods flexibly and safely.
Students work according to professional ethics considering the characteristics of various situations, and in their work they commit themselves to the code of professional conduct.
