Objective
The student is able to master various methods of learning improvisation and to acquire the skills to work independently in the practice of improvising. The student is familiar with the various situations in which musical expression by the means of improvisation is necessary. The student knows the basics of improvisation of jazz and popular music and also learns about other music styles where improvisation is part of the musical expression.
The student is able to use rhythm, harmony, sound and melody in a creative way and taking into account the musical and stylistic context in his own improvised musical expression. The student is able to construct scales for the harmony of the current song in a suitable manner in a horizontal and vertical way. The student deepens their understanding of the aesthetics of improvisation in pop, rock, blues and jazz, develops their expression in these genres of music and is able to play improvised solos in a small band.
The student is able to critically search for and parse data, analyze and reflect on their own and each other's work and express themselves orally and in writing.
