Objective

After the course the student is able to apply the cultural field’s research-oriented development’s practical methods. The student is able to seek for the information and to be critical of different sources. The student is able to analyze the research methods needed for a development in the practical work and knows the thesis requirements. The student is able to visualize the study and mapping processes graphically. The student recognizes his/her own field’s research methods and knows how to apply them in research-oriented development-, survey- and mapping work. The student is able to collect research data by interviewing, observation, surveys and in by different workshops. The student is capable for written reflecting.

The student is able to describe the cultural field’s research-oriented development work’s practical methods and research work’s criteria when guided. The student is able to seek for the information and be critical of different sources. The student is able to identify one of the research methods needed in the practical development work. The student is familiar with the thesis requirements. The student is able to visualize the study- and mapping process when guided. The student is able to collect research data under the guidance by interviewing, observations, making surveys and in workshops.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is able to fairly describe the research-oriented development work’s methods and research criteria. The student is able to find information and be critical of different sources. The student is able to analyze two of the research methods needed in the practical development work. The student is familiar with the thesis requirements. The student is fairly able to visualize the study- and mapping process. The student recognizes fairly his/her field’s research methods and under the guidance is able to apply them when planning the research-oriented development-, reporting- and mapping work. The student is able to collect research data by interviewing, observations, surveys and in various workshops. The student is able to reflect on a satisfactory written form.

The student can independently collect research data by interviewing, observations, surveys and various workshops. The student is able to reflect on a well written form.
