Objective

After the course, the students:
• can match work life schedules with trend knowledge management and seasonal rotation.
• can utilize trends with a customer oriented approach. A company in the field of fashion and clothing represents the client, serving a certain target group, namely the end user.
• can outline the design process and the related methods of creating ideas and designing.
• can design garments.
• can use basic concepts of the field.

Content

Different stages, methods and concepts of the design process. Design theory of the garment. The importance of materials and colors as a part of designing. Following trends. Coding products. The assignments require creative, unique and unprejudiced solutions for the given problems in clothing and fashion. Designing a wardrobe and a collection for female target groups taking into account different body types and purposes of use.
