Objective

The purpose of the course is to strengthen the student’s professional, research and development skills a well as critical argumentation and information forming skills. The goal is to develop new innovative practices for the job sector, which have the potential of influencing development in the field of design on a larger scale.

The student knows methods suitable for the research and development projects in the field. The student can choose methods appropriate for the objectives of the research and development project, knowing the requirements of the Master’s thesis work. The student examines and evaluates the development project from a research perspective. The student reports the results of the research and development project, understands the significance of the ongoing evaluation of the development project, and knows different evaluation methods.

- Writing the Master’s thesis, reporting on the research or development project
