Objective

The aim of the study module is to develop the student's skills in leading and implementing developmental processes in a goal-directed, proactive, responsible, solution-oriented and collaborative way in cultural arts and especially in the field of music.

• The student knows the essential concepts and theories of leadership in the fields of culture and music.
• The student can analyze the ethical responsibility and societal impact of development leadership.
• The student is able to anticipate changes in the field of cultural arts, to search for information about them and to analyze their consequences in relation to the student’s own work and expertise.
• The student is able to identify the requirements for managing multi-disciplinary and multi-professional projects.
• The student is able to implement developmental processes in a proactive, goal-directed and solution-oriented way.
• The student is able to apply creative facilitation methods in professional interactions.

Content

Concepts, theories and perspectives related to leadership. Ethical and social responsibility of leadership. Lifelong learning. Leading developmental work as a collaborative and creative process of change. Project and change management. Methods of facilitating developmental processes. Bold and proactive use of one’ own developmental expertise.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student is able to describe and explain the theories and concepts of developmental processes in cultural arts and especially in the field of music. The student is able to identify changes in cultural arts and their significance in one’s own work. The student knows project management and facilitation methods for developmental processes and is able to utilize them in the student’s own work. The student is able to implement developmental processes proactively in collaboration with others.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is able to analyze and explain theories and concepts of developmental processes and their significance in cultural arts and especially in the field of music. The student is able to identify and analyze changes in cultural arts and their significance in the student’s own field and work communities. The student is proficient in the key project management and facilitation methods for developmental processes, and is able to apply them to the student’s own expert work. The student is able to lead and implement developmental processes independently as well as constructively in collaboration with others.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is able to analyze and explain critically from various points of view the theories and concepts of developmental processes in cultural arts and especially in the field of music. The student is able to identify, analyze and anticipate the changes in cultural arts and their significance in the student’s own field and work communities. The student is proficient in the creative use of project management and facilitation methods, and is able to apply them creatively to developmental processes. The student can implement and lead developmental processes independently in an innovative and collaborative way.
