Metropolia aims to promote and encourage student wellbeing in all areas of life through providing support in studies, learning and professional and personal development. Fundamental element in student wellbeing is open and positive communication culture in all areas of university, including fields of pedagogics, learning enviroments, safety and student services.
Student wellbeing constitutes from actions aiming at a culture of caring, sense of communality and integral life management. Communality is based on trust, sincerity and good-will. These can be reached through building up team spirit and encouraging communication and self knowledge skills both in students and staff. Transparency of functions is furthered on all areas.
Student wellbeing services aim to provide adequate support and means for managing wellbeing and removing obstacles for it.
Metropolia supports wellbeing through offering services of counselling psychologist and student wellbeing advisor.
Counselling psychologist offers support in challenges of personal and study life through appointments, education and group activities.
Student wellbeing advisor supports students in issues of social, economic and personal life management.
Student health services are provided on campuses.

Pastors from the Evangelical Lutheran Church working in the University also offer support to students facing life's crisis or in spiritual issues.
Wellbeing in Metropolia stands for equality and safety. Student wellbeing functions are being conceived, implemented and assessed by professional team of experts.
